Summer by the River is one of Boddington’s most anticipated annual events, transforming the banks of the Hotham River into a vibrant evening celebration. Set against a picturesque riverside backdrop, the event offers a relaxed yet festive atmosphere that invites families, friends and visitors to come together and celebrate the end of summer. Live music and entertainment create an energetic soundtrack throughout the evening, while food vans and market stalls offer a wide variety of flavours and locally made products. A dedicated chill-out zone provides space to relax, unwind and take in the surroundings, making the event enjoyable for all ages and interests. The riverside setting plays a central role in the event, encouraging visitors to slow down, spread out a picnic rug or stroll along the foreshore while enjoying the atmosphere. Proudly supported by South32 Worsley Alumina, Summer by the River is a free community event that reflects Boddington’s strong sense of togetherness.
