The Tullis Bridge Walk is a short 3-kilometre loop that begins and ends at the historic Tullis Bridge, a timber trestle railway bridge built in 1912 that stands as a striking reminder of the area’s railway history.
The trail follows the Hotham River flats and winds through jarrah and wandoo forest, offering a peaceful and scenic journey. Along the way, walkers encounter remnants of the old railway ballast reserve and a historic stone river crossing, adding layers of interest and storytelling to the journey. Gentle landscape changes along the trail make for a unique experience for visitors who appreciate both nature and history.
The calm setting encourages visitors to take their time, pause by the river and enjoy the surrounding bushland. The loop format makes it easy to complete without retracing steps, and the historic bridge provides a memorable focal point and popular photo opportunity.
Please note that the Tullis Bridge Walk is currently closed due to the impacts of the 2025 bushfires. When reopened, it remains one of Boddington’s most memorable and accessible walking experiences.
