The Jesse Martin Museum is a unique private collection created with passion and care by local farmer Jesse Martin. Located on four hectares of the family farm near Williams, the museum brings the stories of early rural life to vivid reality through an engaging display of heritage buildings, machinery, and memorabilia.
The collection began in 1976 with the construction of a replica country inn, complete with original fittings. It has steadily grown to include a recreated general store, additional replica buildings, historic farm machinery, and an extensive range of everyday items from the Williams district and surrounding areas. These displays form a charming collage of vintage shops, rustic architecture, old signage, and period products that invite visitors to wander and explore.
Each carefully arranged display offers insight into the ingenuity, hard work, and community life of earlier generations. The museum is especially rewarding for history enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone curious about regional heritage.
The Jesse Martin Museum closes during the summer months and is available for viewing by appointment only. Entry is by donation, with proceeds supporting cancer research, adding a meaningful purpose to a visit.
