Set alongside the tranquil banks of the Williams River, Williams Lions Park is a beautiful stop that is conveniently located next to Albany Highway and the Williams Sports and Recreation area.
The park features a nature inspired play area, well maintained toilets, barbecue facilities, picnic tables, benches, and generous parking, making it ideal for families, travellers, and caravans. Young visitors can play on the monkey bars, stepping logs and rocks, a nest swing, slide, tunnel, climbing frame, rope bridge, and a long flying fox. A large numbat sculpture adds a fun and memorable focal point, while locally sourced timber and rocks blend the playground seamlessly into the natural setting.
Throughout the park, well placed benches provide seats for resting and taking in the views, while landscaped garden beds highlight local flora. Information boards share insights into the area’s native plants and animals, adding an educational element to the park.
Branching off from the main park is a scenic riverside walkway, which also serves as a designated dog exercise area. Visitors are encouraged to use this path with their dogs with waste bags and bins provided along the walkway.
Williams Lions Park is a popular rest stop for travellers, and during long weekends it hosts the Driver Reviver van, offering free coffee to help drivers stay alert and safe. To support increasing visitor numbers, the carpark has been expanded with additional sealed areas suitable for buses, caravans, and trailers. In May 2023, the park also became part of the WA EV Network, with electric vehicle charging stations now available on site.
